QUOTES "We will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us" -Golda Meir "Kill those who join other gods with Allah wherever you find them; besiege them, seize them, lay in wait for them" (Sura 9:5). "Jihad is a religious duty imposed by Muslim law for the spread of Islam ... Believers are under obligation to wage war against all unbelievers" - Encyclopedia Britannica "Yes of course this is about Palestine, cause that's the core issue in the whole world. That's what drives the Muslims to kill each other in Afghanistan, to fight the Iran/Iraq war, invade Kuwait, butcher each other in Syria, and Lebanon, to terrorize, India, Russia, Serbia, the Philippine Islands, Nigeria, Kenya, Indonesia, and Macedonia. Did I leave anywhere else out where Muslims are dying for Palestine? Like the Nazis before, you Arabs believe that everyone is Jew obsessed. Unable to figure out why you can't succeed and coexist on this planet you blame the Jew. While you Pals starve, die, and rant about the Jews your oil rich brothers squander the Arab inheritance on blonde whores and old military junk. Instead of world class cities and culture you have Jihad and raw sewage in your streets because the Jews right?" "Break Your Treaties with Infidels Whenever You Like!" If you fear treachery from any group [of non-Muslims], throw back [their covenant] to them, [so as to be] on equal terms [with them]. For Allah loves not the treacherous. Let not the unbelievers [all non-Muslims] think that they can get the better [of Muslims]. They [non-Muslims] will never frustrate [you]. (Koran 8:58-59)

PacEMakeR    RE:Quote to think about.    9/27/2004 11:17:18 AM
Gandhi is the same man who said "I would give up the finest sons of India to save the British empire in it's dying hour". Although he may have been respected, I doubt many, if any Indians agreed with him on this, and many other issues. Similarly, even if Ben-Gurion said that Israeli had stolen Palestinian land (a concept which is bollocks), there is no reason for other Israeli's to agree. Now, instead of posting quotes, how about a response to bsl's questions? Or is it that you just dont have any?

SGTObvious    An interesting thing about Judy's quotes.   9/29/2004 8:04:58 PM
I haven't verified, them, but if they are accurate, what do they tell us? They tell us that the Israelis are ethically aware people, capable of empathizing with their opponents, and undertanding their point of view. They Arabs would do well to cultivate some of these humanitarian characteristics. To have an opponent who can say things like that is a wonderful opportunity, which the Arabs continuously waste. But Judy's not being fair to the Arabs! I have compiled a list of similar quotes from the Arab side, statements by prominent Arabs that prove they can understand the hopes and fears of the Jews on a human to human level, beyond the simple, hate filled propaganda and genocidal threats (open and/or implied) that we usually hear. Here's my list:

yeah, if only israel could invent some technology to replace oil then that would be its greatest accomplishment.
maybe well have to wait for messiah on that point though.

It has been done before. They used to have an even worse monopoly on the spice trade and Prince Henry broke it. If the Porteguesse can do it maybe it can be done today.

As for #13 - "Windows NT was developed by Microsoft Israel." - I believe this bears more investigation. The main architect was Dave Cutler. Dave was as one of the chief architects of VMS at DEC and somewhat revered by those of us who were fans of DEC products and loved to talk to him at DEXPO every year .  He was hired away from DEC by Microsoft in something like 1988 and took a bunch of DEC employees with him and ended up creating Windows NT. DEC sued Microsoft over various alleged components of this defection and ended up getting $150 million from Microsoft. Cutlers offices with DEC were in Seattle. He and his team stayed there for the development of NT. Microsoft Israel may have worked on Windows NT - but they definitely did not develop it. I believe they may have worked on various drivers and other components, but they did not develop NT.

Where exactly were Palestine's borders?
What currency did they use?
Who exactly were their leaders?
How exactly were their leaders elected/chosen?
Why is this information kept so secret? I feel like an idiot for not being able to find this basic information.

I noticed that The Sahara Desert is still on the map. When will North Africans do the right thing and give the Saharans back their country?

Funny...I can't find any info on what year Sahara was founded, either.  'Think the Jews are keeping this info from getting out as well?

spynverzyon    Ben Gurion & "stolen" land   9/24/2006 4:28:29 PM
Judy - I think you misunderstand the rhetorical point of Ben Gurion's statement. He was representing things from the Arab perspective in order to convince other Jews that it was foolish and deluded to expect recognition and peace from the Arabs. He did not literally agree that the Jews had "stolen" the land; he was merely acknowledging that Arabs saw it that way, and always would. Ben Gurion knew enough of the geopolitics of the region to be well aware that no nation existed west of the Jordan before the birth of Israel, and that Israel's existence would be under constant and perpetual threat from surrounding nations that could never accept a Jewish state on that same land.
