from LittleGreenFootballs:
Fake But Not Very Accurate, Nutroots Edition

Gotta love this one (unless you’re Larry Johnson) as Ace of Spades exposes another probable anti-war fraud, an “internal memo” with a “military logo” that turns out to be ... a Hummel figurine.

Who knows? Maybe the military does use Hummel knicknacks in their mastheads. Seems doubtful, though.

UPDATE at 5/26/07 2:25:15 pm:

Hummelgate hits the Washington Post; they quote from the memo in this article: Taste of Home Runs Low in Iraq.

UPDATE at 5/26/07 2:34:03 pm:

Some information was left in the PDF document’s Properties:

I'm starting to think I should start a Livejournal or a Weblog pretending to be a dishonorably discharged Marine haunted by all my "war crimes" and all the civilians I've massacred and how terrible the food is. A new Jesse Macbeth. Then, hours later, when the MSM immediately picks up on my "story" and everybody from Code Pink to Michael Ware to Daily Kos to Hugo Chavez starts emailing me and calling me and inviting me to rallies, I will "leak" the truth to Glenn Reynolds, Charles Johnson and Drudge - and then the good guys can go on the offensive and call out the defeatist media - showing the world just how in cahoots with the enemy they are, and just how much they are rooting for our defeat.

Would I be doing a good thing - or would it just be me being an a**hole?
