Iraq is a state sponsor of terrorism, and is the one of the big three (Iraq, Iran, N. Korea) with WMD capability. While the claim "Iraq has no ties with Al Qaeda" is tenuous at best, Iraq does have ties to the Abu Nidal Organization, several Palestinian terrorist groups, and provides training and material support to other pan-Islamic movements that DO fall under the shadow of Al Qaeda's "umbrella."
