Subject: Americans must respect Islam
salaam al-aqaaid    5/13/2004 10:18:35 AM
The outrageous atrocities commited by Americans at the Abu al-Grayyib prison complex speaks to a need for the United States Americans to give sensetivity training to its entire military so that they will no longer offind Muslims with the contemptious use of women as prison guards and unsavery adiction to homosexual pornographies. These things are offinsive to the Muslims community. Have you no shame? You must remove all women and homosexuals from contact with Muslim prisoners. This is offinsive.

we're not the only ones who must respect islam. there's a dozen or more coflicts raging on this earth to gain the respect they deserve. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,10710800%255E1702,00.html Three beheaded in Kashmir From correspondents in Jammu 08sep04 THREE Kashmiri Muslims were dragged out of their homes and beheaded amid rising civilian deaths in the insurgency-hit region, police said today. Police suspect Islamic separatists, fighting for Kashmir's independence from India or its merger with Pakistan, killed the three because they were informants for Indian security forces. There was no way to independently verify the police claim. The attackers stormed into the village of Mara Doria in the Rajouri region, 180km north-west of Jammu, the winter capital of India's northern Jammu-Kashmir state, according to the duty officer at the Rajouri police station. Kalu Din, 25, and Mishri Gujjar, 35, were taken from their homes to a nearby forest and beheaded, he said. In the adjoining Fabri Dhok village, the attackers took Ghulam Shah, 50, and also decapitated him, the officer said on customary condition of anonymity. According to state police officials, militants have killed 501 civilians - including 54 women and 27 children - between January and August this year. Many were killed for refusing to provide the rebels shelter, or because the guerrillas believed they were police informers, Inspector-General K Rajindra said in a statement last month. More than 65,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in 14 years of fighting. Authorities have said there has been a 25 per cent increase in attacks on civilians this year, despite India and Pakistan agreeing to a ceasefire last November and renewed dialogue to resolve their five decades of conflicting claims to the Himalayan region. Militant groups based in Pakistan have vowed to continue fighting for the enclave that has been divided between the South Asian rivals since independence from Britain in 1947. The civilian deaths have not deterred Indian and Pakistani leaders from forging ahead with the peace process, which got underway in January. Pakistan's foreign minister was in the Indian capital over the weekend for another round of talks on the contentious issue, and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf are to meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly later this month.

Just one more thing, man.. it's a commendment.. a commendment of GOD, you understand that? Do you understand the potential gravity that it means to kill someone when God tells you.. you shall not kill? If I had killed someone and if I believed in all of this, I SURE AS HELL would be fvcking scared about what would happen to me, because I'd have no idea if really I could kill that person or not!! And the problem is that eternity is kind of.. LONG...

Hellfire, I don't know if you're in the Service or not but read the Bible. The Soldier is absolved, when he must in the performance of his duties to his Sovereign, kill. I too was troubled but took solace in that.

Islam like many religions bases it's power on controlling its beleivers. Christians, Jews etc all fell victim to this a thousand ago or so. In Fuedal times Priests would scare uneducated worshipers into thinking if they did not do what the Church requested they would go to hell. Then the civilization evolved and there was the separation of church and state. Citizens of Nation states no longer felt controlled by religion but rather took oathes to their countries. The problem with Islam is it hasn't changed or evolved in a thousand years. The majority of the Middle east ( minus some students and the intellegent people but not all) would pick up a rifle and shoot an infidel if their Iman's or Clerics or Al Sadr told them too. If Al Sistani said he wanted a Jihad everyone in Iraq would fight. Islam has control over it's citizens. They beleive whatever their Spiritual leaders tell them. Can you imagine you Preist at your local church telling you he demanded you kill any non-beleivers.....he would be arrested and sent to jail. But in Islam, fatwas seem to be as common as weekly church fliers...who should we hate this week? Who is to blame for a culture that has repressed women and offers now employment or advancement for its citizens. The only enterprise in the Middle east is oil, which ironically enough was discovered by Americans and Brits 120 years ago. When Religion and Culture merge you or never separate you have problems. I cannot imagine following the relgious orders of people who wish to kill others. Every religion speaks agains that somewhere. But it seems ok if a Cleric says it. The hypocrasy that exists in Islam is laughable. Rational though creates advancement. religion on the whole does not depend on rationale thought...."God says so, and God told me, so now I'm telling you and you have to do it" and so. The circular arguement continues and societies like the Taliban never change. Christians used to go on Crusades and kill everyone in God's name, God's honor, to bring home the plunder for the Church etc...we don't anymore...that was a 1000 years ago and civilization has progressed. Islam still has that mindset, Religious fanatics who can tell anyone off the street to abide by a fawta is bound for trouble...just by its definition...Religious Law..can you imagine that? It's like the Mormons saying they decided we have to wear Tshirts from now on with a piture of Brigham Young on it and we all sheepishly agree because who are we to argue with God? Anyway the point is, today's Islam is to be feared because fanatics can so easily hide in its foggy messages and interpretations. Islam as a religion (which is what it is) can be respected but Islam as a culture is and unfortunate event. Now don't misunderstand, the difference between culture and religion, they don't go hand in hand. They can and that's where problems appear, ie Fuedal times. The Arab culture is a beautiful thing steeped in history and splendor..that's culture, what God you pray to is a different story....and what set of rules someone passed down for you to follow blindly and what your Iman tells you to beleive is something else.
