I give you a little reporting from the Evening Standard: Muslim protesters today called for the bombing of New York in a demonstration outside the US embassy in London. There were threats of “another 9/11” from militants angry at reports of the desecration of the Koran by US troops in Iraq. Some among the crowd burned an effigy of Tony Blair on a crucifix and then set fire to a Union flag and a Stars and Stripes. Led by a man on a megaphone, they chanted, “USA watch your back, Osama is coming back” and “Kill, kill USA, kill, kill George Bush”. A small detail of police watched as they shouted: “Bomb, bomb New York” and “George Bush, you will pay, with your blood, with your head.” . . . The protest was organised by groups including the Muslim Council for Britain and the Muslim Parliamentary Association of the UK. swhitebull - WEll, we could threaten the Saudis with instant pure american REAL desecration if they persist: Time to bomb Mecca and Medina with the collected waste production of our midwest Hog and Swine population - unprocessed. It makes one wonder about the kind of mind that can come up with such an evil and devious plan. ;-) On a serious note: There are no reasons (yet) to turn the war on fundamentalism into the war on Islam IMHO. As for the demonstrations, I think these were prepared beforehand to provoke just such a reaction and backlash against Islam. I would not be suprised if the next demonstration/outrage is already organized and that they are waiting for a good excuse to start it. Seems that the fundamentalist/terrorists want to escalate the conflict by provoking repercussions/attacks on Islam. They have this need to escalate the conflict to include Muslims (instead of just fundamentalists), which they believe will bring Muslims over to their side. Just because something is pissing me off doesn't mean I'm going to let the enemy determine the rules of the game. When carrying out the pre-planned demonstration , the organizers propably exposed themselves. This makes it possible for us to target them.

Ah, so that's what that is. I thought it smelled familiar. That and the 'gimme three steps, gimme three steps closer to the door' line being hummed kinda gave AK away. Jaw still aches when i have to do NMR, but it ain't to bad. Eyes are shot to hell(that's largely where I've been. Fighting with insurance and getting fitted with contacts(hard contacts, which are annoying as hell and expensive too), arguing with the pretty doctor lady and the like). Other than that life continues. Done any more 'cruising'? Last I remember you'd just gotten back right before the election.
