Is not respect given when earned? I've seen little from the Islamic world to respect as of late. Someone remind me when the last time people rioted, let alone killed anyone over a bible desecration. This is more than just respecting a religion, its understanding a culture, one that is utterly foreign and barbaric by western standards. The Islamic culture in many ways runs counter to contemporary world view, and in many ways appears backwards and twisted. It is one thing to be tolerant of ones culture, but tolerance must be a two way street. Clearly in many muslim nations there is no RESPECT or tolerance for western ideals, religions, culture. It is clear that "respect" that is not given will not be returned.
