Subject: Americans must respect Islam
salaam al-aqaaid    5/13/2004 10:18:35 AM
The outrageous atrocities commited by Americans at the Abu al-Grayyib prison complex speaks to a need for the United States Americans to give sensetivity training to its entire military so that they will no longer offind Muslims with the contemptious use of women as prison guards and unsavery adiction to homosexual pornographies. These things are offinsive to the Muslims community. Have you no shame? You must remove all women and homosexuals from contact with Muslim prisoners. This is offinsive.

Just finished reading a great satirical article from Pravda-http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=17661- (thanks for the link SWB) I must admit it had me fooled at first, I thought this was another one of those Islamophobic rants that seem to be all the rage at the moment, but a minutes reflection made it clear that this was an brilliant exercise in paradoy. The author points out how an alien invading force overrun indigenous peoples and enslaved ‘native Africans’. Of course, given the climate of the times the author describes the invaders as’Arabs’ and indigenous peoples he refers to are inhabitants of North Africa and Egypt. However, anyone familiar with even most basic outline of the history of the Americas would have no trouble in guessing the author is actually talking about the bloody appropriation of the 'Americas'. Here is proof if it was needed, that right wing U.S culture does not suffer from irony-deficency.

Pars    Why respect?   5/10/2005 7:05:28 AM
With all respect to Christianity; Christianity has changed greatly from Hz. Jesus Christ to 7th Century. First of all there were no religious officials among the first Christians; then you had all of these Popes, Cardinals, Archbishops. Where did they come from? The truth is Roman clergy turned as a body from pagan beliefs to Christianity and they brought their pagan beliefs into Christianity. The date of Christmas is also the same date of Mithra's festival was for an example. All muslims respect Christian belief and the prophet Hz. Jesus. But obviously many of you do not respect other religions. First of all main ideals of both religions are so similar that; after Islam's arrival Chrisitan Clergy thought Islam as a sect of Christianity for a couple of centuries. You do not respect Islam; because they are lying you about Islam. They are trying to show Islam as an enemy to legitimise their actions against Muslim countries in your eyes. We all believe in the same God. We all honor the God in the way we see fit. If you say a religion is a false religion; then every other religion other than yours or every other sect other than yours must be false for you. That was the way of Medieval ages. The was the way of the religious wars. Did you forget Crusades, 30 years War or others? How our ancestors killed each other in the name of the God? Truth is our ancestors have been lied. The God does not need or want us to kill for his glory. That is why we all respect each other. Otherwise it means wisdom of the age of Enlightenment have been never lived. Otherwise it means we never have evolved after thousands of years.

swhitebull    And the say Americans have no sense of irony...but we DO tend to spell correctly.   5/10/2005 1:33:06 PM
..Just finished reading a great satirical article from Pravda-http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=17661- (thanks for the link SWB) I must admit it had me fooled at first, Guess it doesn't take much, does it? You must have a very low threshhold, indeed. Even a fool can get it right some times. Care to interview to be the board's Court Harlequin? We have a slot open ever since OneGus got booted, and uniform and cap provided free of charge. ...I thought this was another one of those Islamophobic rants that seem to be all the rage at the moment, but a minutes reflection made it clear that this was an brilliant exercise in paradoy... Certainly moreso than your use of grammar and spelling has been. ..However, anyone familiar with even most basic outline of the history of the Americas would have no trouble in guessing the author is actually talking about the bloody appropriation of the 'Americas'. Here is proof if it was needed, that right wing U.S culture does not suffer from irony-deficency.... Good, you can discuss all you want on the US board any European perfidies regarding the conquest of the Americas. THIS thread is dedicated to Arab-Islamo perfidies - which make the European conquest of the New World seem like a joyride. Burn any good libraries lately since you dont need them? Seems you can't contribute anything useful to the discussion. So again, please show why the author in question is incorrect. All it seems you can do is blow your usual amount of hot air - stale and not going anywhere. swhitebull - just another case of lots of sound and fury, signifying nothing. btw- have you slept with your 9-year old cousin lately? Just curious - the Pakistanis could use your aid on the India-Pakistani board.

Pars    RE:And the say Americans have no sense of irony... Divide and rule   5/10/2005 1:55:38 PM
This article really well summarises why USA is at ME. We have seen at the latest fake election at Iraq that it is not for liberating people. All of these Arab states that the magasine mentioned were all creations of post-WW1 western powers. While creating these countries they specifically did not care ethnicities to weaken them inside. Now more from the dark side of the imperialism. USA now wants to Balkanise ME. They will divide the ME into numereous small states using every possible ethnicity divergence. These small states will be so small that they will not be able to defend themselves. So all will be puppets of USA. This is how British Empire did it in the past. Divide and rule. How many small pieces they are; more easy to rule. By the way do not think that Israel will be the exception. After all other ME nations Balkanised, Israel will be the next victim of USA. The first steps have already been taken.

>>First of all there were no religious officials among the first Christians;<< No, the New Testament mentions apostles, deacons, bishops and prophets. There were all offices. >>then you had all of these Popes, Cardinals, Archbishops. Where did they come from?<< 1)well, the offices kind of evolved. Some bishops of cities had regional superiors they reported to. The Apostle John is said to have overseen the seven churches that figure prominently in the book of Revelation. 2)In the Western Roman Empire civil authorities disintegrated in the 5th Century CE. The Christian Churches were often the only vibrant institutions left. Sometimes they took over the cities, to make sure that vital services kept going and people didn't die. This assumption of civil authority was in response to emergencies, but it became permanent in many places. As they say in church history classes, "hence the papacy". The Roman clergy did adopt some of the titles and roles of the pagan clergy they replaced. Some of this was because it helped them to exercise civil authority. For example, the Pontifix Maximus was the chief priest of Rome. He was also responsible for building and maintaining bridges in the city. "Pontifix Maximus" means "great bridge", and therefore a bridge between the divine and the people (as well as the engineering aspects) >> The truth is Roman clergy turned as a body from pagan beliefs to Christianity<< Not so, at least in the Roman world. the Romans believed that they worked in partnership with the pagan gods to order the world for the better. They had a long history of severe punishment of 'novel superstitions'. There was a 2 to 3 century struggle between paganism and Christianity, marked by an erratic series of bloody persecutions. When the Russians converted from paganism to Christianity it was another story. >> and they brought their pagan beliefs into Christianity. The date of Christmas is also the same date of Mithra's festival was for an example<< Actually I think it corresponded to a pagan festival called Saturnalia. 1) the church leaders of the time quite consciously set about to 'Christianize' the festivals that people celebrated. They infused Christian meanings into pagan festivals. So Mortain (a Celtic holiday of the dead) became All Saints Day, and evening before became All Hallows Eve. Aspects of the Celtic pagan festival survived as today's Halloween. 2) Islam, as well, has aspects that it accepted from the culture it grew out of.

Court Harlequin? Harlequin or Arlechino was stock character in comedia del arte- normally he was a valet secretly in love with Columbine. Maybe you were groping for the term court jester. Who was a person employed to amuse courtiers. Still glad to see you managed to spell Harlequin properly- even if you seem to have mis-understood the concept. "thread is dedicated to Arab-Islamo perfidies" No you are the tread is not. The tread started of as rather flawed attempt at discussion of the relationship between the US and Islam- since then it has broaden to cover a variety of topics arising from that relationship. "btw- have you slept with your 9-year old cousin lately?" And then you want to have reasoned discussions. Maybe you need to remind yourself of rules of conduct on this forum. See http://www.strategypage.com/messageboards/rulesofuse.asp If you do not like what I have to say ignore it. Surely, even your limited notion of 'democracy' would allow people on the forum to have different views from you. If one cannot "

I agree with timon_phocas [sic - lack of apostrophe ] account of christian history it also the case both Chrisanity [sic- ed.] and Islam did, as they developed take on influences of previous religous [sic-ed.] practices. From [sic-grammar] point of view of 'Indic' religons [sic - ed.] the differnces [sic - ed.] between Islam and Christanity [sic - ed.] may seem rather obsecure [sic-ed.] and superficial- which may partly explain some of the hostility between them- "feteshism [sic-ed]of small differences."

Seems like I spelled Harlequin more easily than your post on Christianity - seems that the typo demon was affecting your fingers more than usual - you should check out your post and really use a spellchecker - it MIGHT - and I repeat MIGHT - give you a wee bit more credibility, though I doubt it. Looks like the SysOps were really busy with it to make it understandable. Not misunderstood at all - I was giving you the benefit of the doubt and a promotion, rather than robing you in motley - as a pedantic fool. Which, unfortunately, you have shown yourself to be. Try repenting for a change, Harley, I say. Tick-Tock. Man, you really have it bad. But I can see you still have not refuted that article I cited, instead choosing to ridicule rather than to engage in any kind of honest discussion about it. That says more about your limited intellectual abilities than anything I chose to attribute to your state of dress. You receive as good as you dish out. As to the rules of the board, please show where I am in any violation. Seems like you can't take the heat when called to task, and revert to whining. Sigh. Typical response, but not unexpected. I'm sure the board moderators are well aware of what I post, and would have issued at best a warning to me. Geez, I see none. Must be ok. swhitebull - any more pedantic sophistries or witticisms beyond your ken which you want to engage in?

I am not saying anything against Christianity. I am saying that Christianity has changed between 1st and 7th centuries. Islam had never defined itself as a new religion. It defined itself as a continuation of a religion which comes from the first man Hz. Adam to today. In that context, Islam sees Christianity as a continuation of Judaism and Islam as a continuation of Christianity. If we all can look at the roots of all these 3 religions. All 3 have the same main ideals. The man of power try to make us focus on the detail differances between religions or sects to divide us, to make us hate each other. This is how tyrants and oligarchs ruled and make us kill each other for centuries. There is one truth: all 3 religions and most of their sects (there are some bloodthirsty radical sects in all 3 religions that are exceptions) believe in the same God and same ideals. The others are all details.
