There was no immediate reaction from Washington on Wednesday.

The ex-minister, dubbed "Comical Ali" for proclaiming the defeat of U.S. forces even as they moved into Baghdad, had been hiding out at arelative's house watching satellite TV, but was caught on Monday night, the paper said in a report from Baghdad.

"He has some serious talking to do...this time," a "senior coalition source" was quoted as saying. There was no independent confirmation ofthe story and no other sourcing.

How could he be captured by an American roadblock in Baghdad, there are no Americans within a hundred miles of Baghdad Hey it just hit me... SARS is "Sahaf Anti-Reality Syndrome" and all of the liberals around the world have caught it: "There are no WMD, there never were any WMD, the WMD has killed itself on our streets... there is no WMD in that house, there is no WMD on that mouse, there is no WMD here or there, there is no WMD ANYWHERE!!!!"

"It is wrong to say I have been captured by Americans! We have them all surrounded! We have craftily decieved them into taking over law enforcement functions in Baghdad so that our secret police agencies can concentrate fully on moving skillfully against the Zionist occupiers! Our agents in America continue to describe the infidel Bush as an greedy imperialist fear-monger as they run for President, even as we continue to frustrate that viper Bush's coil of lies about hidden weapons we stab him it the back and cut his throat with our most secret weapon! Islamic sophistry! What have I been arrested for? Watching television?"

Sahaf has actually been operating in the United States for several years. Some of his handiwork: "My client, Michael Jackson, has never had plastic surgery. There are no little boys at Neverland ranch! Not within a hundred miles! Never!" Ghostwriter Sahaf in a recent bestseller wrote: "And in August 1998 I had to ask myself whether I would continue to stay married or not--whether I could under those circumstances. And that was a very hard decision."

It just shows the danger of electing a fanatical non-smoker like mr. clinton - I mean; I would know to insert a cigar into which orifice.

More developments on our beloved Skippy : The Arab news channel Al-Arabiya says it will broadcast an interview with Iraq's former information minister, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf. The channel says it taped the interview in Baghdad on Thursday and will air it at 3 p.m. EDT Friday. Al-Sahaf has not been seen in public since the final days of the Iraq war. He drew criticism and international popularity by doggedly insisting that Iraq was winning the war, even as U.S. troops were making their way to the center of Baghdad. A report this week in London's Daily Mirror said al-Sahaf was in U.S. custody. Pentagon officials said they had no proof the report was true.
