Subject: RE:Iraq-Syria-Iran-Saudi alliance / The gathering storm to BSL

BSL, IF the main reason for this alliance is to prevent US involvement in Iraq, don't you think that the gov'ts of the middle east would be making a VERY big deal out of this publicly, in order to make us think twice about attacking Iraq? Since a US attack on Iraq could be expected to take place very shortly it doesn't make much sense for the Arab countries to get into a secret alliance for the purposes of deterrence if it is supposed to be a secret. Seems like it could be a poorly designed trap for the Great Satan's armies to be drawn in and destroyed by a united Arab Muslim coalition. This isn't the only time that Arab countries have secretly united to fight a common enemy, remember the Six Days War. Although they may have just secretly signed the documents so that the information can become common knowledge slowly to prevent civil unrest and give them time to figure out how best to break it to the US. Your thoughts?
