I think it is a shame that poor Mr. Hamid Abutalebi is being victimized by the evil US government! Since he was only a 'translator' in one of the greatest diplomatic crimes in history, I believe he should be allowed to prove his language skills. Hamid Abutalebi should be allowed into the US, taken into protective custody by US Marshal's and whisked to Leavenworth. Once securely ensconced in his new digs, at US expense,  Hamid Abutalebi will be allowed to translate, by quill, ink and hand, The entire Encyclopedia Britannica (including updates) into the languages at which he is proficient.

I know, stupid, stupid childish of me. Can we not just hang him?

I`m sure the iranians feel exactly the same way about the cia spooks who organised the `53 coup or the captain of the vincennes whos criminal negligence got 290 people killed,by comparison the embassy detainees were treated well and eventually released, the us could`ve had them released far sooner if it had simply returned the shah to iran to face justice for his crimes

Perhaps the Iranian diplomat might try Guantanamo. It is not exactly US, but close enough.
