i dont know its really a very rare story, my dad heard it when he was in the red navy, he doesnt really believe it but hey kernel of truth you know? Maybe they just rounded up everyone on Damansk and shot them or maybe they sunk it somehow? hehe thats what im trying to find out.

I was thinking maybe they threatened some French soldiers with physical pain, and they self-destructed like little supernovas. But I jest;-) Sounds pretty far-fetched, Achtung. Only thing I could think of is a very clean and small tactical nuke that everyone decided to ignore to prevent WWIII, and even that is a conspiracy theory worthy of Mulder and Scully.
