"why don't you and your contemporaries get the hell out of Ireland" British soldiers aren't in Ireland. They are in Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland is a part of the UK. Would you also tell American troops to get out of Florida? The Northern Irish wish to remain British. Why should we give NI to a country that the Northern Irish don't want to be a part of? That's like the Americans giving Texas to Mexico.

The UK has the 4th larest economy in the world. Even in 2050 it will be the 7th largest in the world. All the other European countries would have fallen behind by then to leave Britain as the only European nation in the G7. Srditi is talking crap when he talks about Ireland's economy. Ireland is the second-smallest member of the EU, ahead of Luxembourg. Britain is the second-largest - behind Germany. And Britain's population is 15 times larger than the Republic of Ireland.

If Arditi is French, then he has no right to talk about the UK. When will France give independence to Brittany? The majority of Bretons want independence, unlike the majority of Northern Irish.

Arditi last I heared was italian. Don't worry about Artidi he is foolish and is most likley lieing about his identity (check "New posters", he claimed to be at a university in Irland and he can't answer anyone's question of "which university did you teach at") He is a clearly an Anti-Brit European with a "fantasy" of a inferior Britain. Anyways don't get too offended by him.

"The Northern Irish wish to remain British" That's because Northern Ireland was Gerrymandered to ensure a Pro unionist majority. The historic province of Ulster had 9 counties but you could have had a pro republician majority. So three countries were split off and became part of the South. If you let each county vote to choose between the UK and the South you would get two or three counties joining the South.

By the way, I in no way support the IRA. Some IRA are misguided who have hear too many Irish Rebel songs. Others are just blood thristy thugs. I think that a Non-violent movement would have been much more effective.

I'm sorry, but if you are predicting GDP sizes in 2050, you are either a moron or believe in crystal balls and Taro cards.

"IRA is from Southern Ireland, not Northern. Therefore, Southern Ireland supports IRA. The IRA bombs Northern Ireland, remember" Complete bull! You're worse than Arditi. The IRA is a predominately NORTHERN IRISH organisation. This is illustrated by the fact that its leader Gerry Adams is from Belfast. If southern ireland supported the IRA then why can Sinn Fein barely secure 6 or 7 percent of the vote in an ellection here in the south. They idea that the Irish government supported the IRA's bombing campaign is preposterous and insulting. On the other hand, serious questions are being asked about British security forces involvment in the Dublin and Monaghan bombings which claimed 35 lives or so. No warning was given and they were designed to kill as many people as possible. In terms of money, the IRA raises funds in the US (check out Noraid, the IRA's official Americain fundraising organisation) and from organised crime on the island of ireland. Personally, I've always supported the SDLP (I can't give them much more than moral support as i'm from the south). Have you heard of them or do you think that every Catholic in the north is looking to blow you up? "Ireland is the second-smallest member of the EU" WRONG again. Have you had your head up your ass all this month? 10 new member states joined the EU on my 1st. Most of those who joined are smaller than Ireland. Your figures for the UK do not necessaraly apply to Northern Ireland. For instance, its unemployment rate is 7.4%, higher than the average UK rate. The rate for Roman Catholics is higher again. These figures aren't bad but you can see what Arditi was getting at. You have comprehensively displayed the sort of ignorance towards ireland that does your fellow Britons, like Ad for instance, a diservice. Fie on you sir, fie!
