"hey u think ur little tiny puny country "uk" is the best army............uh idont think so" ..well I'm not British for starters but for someone from a country that has failed in a number of wars to capture territory (Kashmir) from another country that you rate very lowly, you certainly have gall.

"it's not about the land" - I think that will be news to the Pakistanis who have spent the last fifty years fighting for it. As for Lahore, have you ever considered that nobody actually wants the place?

I think pakistan is another one who should not be taken seriously. How do these people find this site when they obviously know very little if anything about military matters, politics or anything connected with this forum? Pakistan, I challenge you to back up ANYTHING that you have said in your past few posts. PS, why did you think nathan was British? incidently I am if you want to know.

I don't agree with your fingings, the UK department of Trade and Industry has actually stated that it is due to overtake Germany in 2013. link link

I don't want to be seen as attacking the UK economy but you can't expect me to take a No-Euro compaign's website as serious evidence that the UK will overtake Germany by 2013. Surely you understand the political motive. Economists are very careful about making predictions because inevitably they are wrong. There hasn't been any extended period since around 1900 that Britain has had a stronger economy than Germany and I'll be very surprised if the UK were to eclipse Germany in my life time. If you remove East Germany from the equation then the old W. Germany leaves teh UK for dead - again. If the current poor economic situation in Germany continues then changes will happen like they did in 1970s Britain when, incidentally, many had written your country off. I've lived extensively in both countries and although I lived in a wealthier region of Germany, there is little doubt in my mind which is better off overall. When Britain can boast of global companies with the calibre of DaimlerChrysler, Siemens, Bosch and BMW then the claims of the Eurosceptics will gain a little more respect in my book. Having said that, I have a great deal of respect for the entrepreneurial nature that exists in the UK - long live the nation of shopkeepers.

just a question of interest, is Rolls Royce now fully owned by BMW? or does BAe (or some other British company) own something in the defence sector of Rolls Royce (i.e jet turbines and whatnot)? Pakinstan! buddy, Pakistan does not have the money to compete with U.K,on my almost annual visits to Saudi Arabia all I see is Pakistany people crowded in airports to get a job there, then all I see in any store of anykind (except up north closer to Kasseem or Jeddah)is poor pakistany men who left their famly in pakistan because they couldn't afford to bring them and must send their checks home... I wouldn't be suprised if Pakistany men out numbered the Saudis in Khobar... Yes you have huge manpower but if you go to your india vs Pakistan thred (can't remember what you called it) you will see that you just contridicted your reasoning for Pakistan having a better army than Britain.... just though i'd add that

-Rolls-Royce PLC is British owned and is in the civil aerospace, defence aerospace, marine and energy sectors. The motor cars sector are manufactured and designed in the UK but it's parent company is BMW and both share the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy symbol.

If Germany can get East-Germany up to speed with the west, then the UK will never take over Germany. But if not; link -- still, not for a while.

Wh bring the French into this discussion? Pakistan! is the latest in an interminable list of big country wannabes, with delusions of their country's military prowess. Pakistan was SO good, they were able to retain East pakistan in 1971, right? swhitebull - Pakistan!, go tell it to the Spartans.
