Brimstone is being manufactured by BAE Systems. It is an adaptation of the Hellfire, specifically with a millimeter-wave radar seeker as it's homing mechanism. It is going to be carried on the Eurofighter and I suspect it will be adapted to various other Eurojets, ie. Tornado, as well as the Tiger helicopter. It should pass Maverick easily in the antiarmor/antivehicle role, for the main reason of store weight. Also, Brimstone doesn't have such a horrendous overkill warhead. Maverick disappointed the Israelis when they used it for AT as it completely vaporized the tanks, they aimed beside it to disable them and pick them up for their own use. Of course, this is an Israeli thing....I imagine that other warheads such as the fuel-air explosive tip will also find their way onto Brimstone in time.
