Subject: Boeing: Denmark to join NATO nations in pool of C-17's

Reuters: FARNBOROUGH, England, July 19 (Reuters) - Boeing Co. (BA.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday Denmark had signed a letter of intent to join a team of NATO nations joining together to share a pool of the U.S. planemaker's C-17 transport jets. Denmark is the first NATO member to publicly commit to the plan, which would involve purchasing an unspecified number of C-17s -- worth about $220 million each -- from Boeing. Boeing said other NATO nations were close to signing similar agreements to join the initiative, but did not identify which.

With so many small contributors, how and whom are to operate them. Are they following the AWACS model?

Didn't see this thread.

It will probably be the "AWACS model." See thread on Denmark board.
