Is there something in psychological stance towards injury here. Some injuries might be regarded major by some people, and minor by some other. For example, if man gets injured in some way, and say "it's nothing", woman would often say that he is "playing a hero".

one reason women get more knee injuries is that their pelvis is wider (for childbirth) so the legs don't go down straight but at an angle. So the quadriceps tend to pull the kneecap laterally (chondromalacia of the patella), and the knee joint is under lateral strain.
Then there is the problem of ligaments becoming lax during pregnancy (again, for childbirth). This leads to joints becoming wobblier and more prone toward ligament sprain.
But we know women are the same as men, right? At least the feminists tell us so.

Evan    Ladies playing war   8/8/2012 11:02:23 PM
I joined the USAF in 1964 so I was in when it became fashionable for the girls to jump on this gig, actually they got messed over pretty well by the recruiters.  They told them if they would sign up to be aircraft mechanics and such they could later cross train into the specialty they really wanted, did not happen, a lot of unhappy ladies, but most made the  best of it, some good, some not so good and a lot in between.

On the other hand, if you planned on quiting the military then one could make a derogatory remark because they would discharge you for being honest about the issue on the QT.

With the sort of leadership we get from those who have no clue, it is a wonder we meet any mission requirements, but we do, says a lot for the caliber of the troops.

Reached my fun quota in Sept 1984 and retired, one pay grade higher then I planned to reach, E-8.

There is still a lot of grousing about how females make above 90% on PT tests with scores that would fail a male of the same age.
