link The fun started when the member of militaryphotos named JCR started to talk about potatoes: [quote] "Kartoffeln Güteklasse B - Geeignet für Schweinemast und Bundeswehr" Second class potatoes: suitable for pig fattening and Bundeswehr (the actual inscription on potato sacks for the military) [unquote] and his opinion on American potatoes: [quote] Re the potatoes, the inscription is not nice but the potatoes are of good quality, only smaller than those sold in supermarkets. At least they still looked like potatoes compared to those we took aboard in the US which looked like genetically engineered. [unquote]

Sadly nobody actually scanned such a potatoe-bag to my knowledge so I cant provide you with pictures :)
