This article claims that an epidemic of The Plague broke out in a training camp run by AQLIM (al-Qaeda in the Land of the Islamic Maghreb) in Algeria, and the terrorist leaders are worried that it has spread to the terrorist camps in Afghanistan. link

I guess we'll find out when spec ops units and uavs start reporting lots of dead bodies in groups with not sign of
combat.
