SpaceX gets the equivalent of a billion in free support and NASA dollars. It is the worst thing that has ever happened to space exploration.

And there it is, the most unsubstantiated troll comment of the day. Thanks for adding nothing to the conversation.

NewSpace has been doing one thing for years that nobody ever talks about: the Ayn-Rand-in-Space Musk groupies damn the space agency and call for it to be done away with on one page and praise NASA for pouring several billion tax dollars into commercial cargo and commercial crew on another. They have nothing bad to say about the over one hundred billion dollar space station to nowhere yet curse all government “porkonaut projects” not connected to SpaceX (like the SLS) as pure evil. If these two-faced deceivers were not so damaging to the future of space exploration their idiotic contradictions would be funny.

None of what you said makes any sense, you've twice contradicted yourself in the space of one paragraph, that takes talent. Space X is supporting ISS (a space station to nowhere, you said. Again, nope, a science and research station, just because you dont understand what they're doing doesnt mean theyre not doing anything.) SpaceX is also planning a mars mission. Never mind launching satellites for half the price of their nearest rivals, so again, not sure which part of space that doesnt involve them going to. Private enterprise has ever done better for these specialised industries. ITs not a generic utility which government was needed for. Regardless, i dont feel like you're contributing, merely ranting. What specifically do you think SpaceX does that is bad for space exploration and where's this insane claim that US Govt has subsidiesed SpaceX to the tune of a billion dollars?
