HESH was used against Iraqi T-55/62/69 tanks in ODS. In fact the longest recorded tank-against-tank kill in history was recorded by a Challenger firing HESH in that conflict (5,200 meters). I have no idea if HESH was ever employed against Iraqi T-72's.
