Subject: STYRKER FCS conversion from LAVIII
albywan    10/18/2009 9:41:58 PM
My understanding is that while the base platform for the Stryker and the LAVIII is very similar (80% Compat), how difficult and what would be involved in modifying a LAVIII, in it's troop carrying capacity, to a STYRKER FCS orother STYRKER varient like the Command and Control, Recon or Mortar Carrier. Specifically, i make reference to the idea that the NZ government is looking at options ofr half of their 105 LAVIIIs, possible swapping them with the US Army, or upgrading them to differnting configurations.
