( think the Man that reload isnt superman, and did you try to stay up in a bus that go at 70 KmH on a chaotic ground and to do some things ??) And did you know that i even can use instruments in an airplane flying at hundreds of Mph ? Have you ever taken seat in an Leopard2 or Leclerc ? The Leopard-Gunner can sit while reloading, and have you seen the Leopard drive over rough terrain ? I will show you an video, link comes this evening.

Found the Video, problem is you have to register to view. But i think you will like the site, there are a lot of videos of the leclerc on it too. Its www.kampfpanzer.de They have an english version as well, and lots of information about international tanks, also a good comparison between the Leopard2 and the M1A1.

if anyone who say the leclerc is not the best tank in the world; he's a liar. the leclerc is so revolutinary in its design that nothing can be compared. have anyone see how you can dismantle its armor so easily and put them back on ? the poing on debate about armor, sensor, gun, powerpack, stabilisers are so irrelevant. those things can be easily change and upgrade latter eventhough at this moment the leclerc top everyone else in those fields. the buzz word is modular design that is something the leclerc has and noone else has. it's very versatile.

I don't think Arjun can be included in any top 10 competition. It is India's first attempt at making a tank. It can't amount to much. However, I am sure the Indian Defense Scientists are learning, and will come out with something better soon (before Pakistan attacks, I hope). I guess the problem is that the Indians had to take on a lot more on day 1, as compared to other countries that are building tanks for several decades. They have to think about a stabilized Gun and laser guidance at the same time they design a decent track. Other countries built tanks and slowly upped the technology over decades. India is trying to shorten the learning curve to 5-0 years. Things are more likely to fail in such a case. Also Al-Khalid is a cheap copy of T-72 designed for the Pakis by the Chinese. Pakistam is just building them. Pakistan claims that it is a joint technology effort. I assume Pakistan contributed the paint, and the padding on the Tank driver's seat.

I think its interesting how only the French in this thread seem to think the leclerc is the best tank. And before you go calling me an american hypocrite, let me give you MY picks for the top 5 (i cant decide after 5) 1) Challenger 2 (best armor, good gun, good electronics) 2) Leo 2 (good armor, best gun, NEWEST electronics) 3) M1A2 (good gun, good armor, god electronics, fast tank) 4)LeClerc (good gun, good speed, good armor) 5) Merkava 4 (good armor)

Challlenger 2-Best armor is until we have affirmative answers on Merkava 4 armor M1A2-GOOD Electronics, not god Merkava 4-just placed it here because i know relativly little about this tank

Dudes!! I have one simple answer to all your things...The Russian T-90S super battle tank wihch India has procured (450 of them) and India got tech transfer to produce it at home as well. This Super battle tank can take on any tank in the world. With Israeli electronics also on this. This seems to be the most formidable tank today.

The T-90S is just a rehashed collection of Soviet era problems. Yes, it does have thermals and improved armor, but: -- It still can't hit a thing at long range, which is why it has to use through-barrel ATGMs. -- It still uses an under-turret carousel autoloader. Its armor is not *that* good (which we know because it comes with all those active defense and ERA gizmos to compensate for basically inferior armor), and so when it takes a hit, much like a T-72 or T-80 it will quickly generate three widows. On the plus side, it is cheap compared to M1A1s (or better), Challenger 2, Leo 2, and even Le Clerc, Merkava, etc. It also comes from a nation which is more than happy to sell its tanks, planes, children, and grandmothers, no strings attached, whereas the US, UK, Germany, etc. might attempt to attach some stipulations to arms exports.
