Subject: First Large Armored Battle

My impression is the first large tank vs tank battle fought was on the 12th & 13th May 1940. Anyone know of any earlier battles where each side pitted more than a few companies of tanks against each other?

I'd have thought the artillery & aircraft numbers would have made up the difference in the tanks. Guess not.
