Subject: German Hack-and-Chop?
VisigothCAS    10/28/2003 4:51:02 PM
A friend of mine is working on a paper for his Master's in History. He asked me about a German WW2 tactic that translates as something like "Hack-and-Chop" in English. It is supposed to be where the army would cut up the enemy army into small bits and destroy them. I think this sounds like a latter phase of a blitzkreig attack or an envelopement. He is, however, looking for the proper term, I would guess the German military term for it. Any ideas?
