Subject: Stock market

The stock market is not the economy. The only relation between the 2 is that they both involve money. The stock market is very simmilar to a casino. And if you dont do your research, I would rather bet on the casino. The stock market is all about a psychology and has little to do with the economy over the short run. Dont blame politians that you lost your shirt gambling. Didnt Alan greenspan warn of this "irrational exuberance" Just hang in there and things will turn out. Or sell and eat your loss

Exactly. It's a gamble. You lose some, you win some. We went through a time where you could hardly lose. It's called a high. We're in a low now (good time to short btw ;)). Historically the stock market pays out at 10%, that includes every stock market boon and bust we've been through. You do better than that consider yourself lucky. If you're down right now, get out to cut your losses or stick it out and wait out the recovery.
