Not so keen on the methodology of determining "corruption", but probably in the ball park, sort of.

Corruption Index for China,
Year Index GDP% growth
2014 36 7.6 (estimate)
2013 40 7.7
2012 39 7.7
2011 36 9.3
2010 35 10.4
2009 36 9.2
2008 36 9.6
2007 35 14.2
2006 33 12.7
2005 32 11.3
10-year average, 35.8
The trend just does not bear out the correlation between corruption and growth for China. Between 2005 and 2010, China was growing double digit when it is more corrupted.

The data is only as good as the liars who supply the raw numbers that underlies the sets.
The PRC is not exactly known for telling the truth about its economy and outsiders can only guess from indirect observations as to the truth. From sat photos, what we can see are the strange empty cities, a series of mismanaged ecological disasters in the Yangtze River Valley that make the Russian Lake Baikal fiasco look like a work of genius, and a haphazard ill-considered and ill conceived industrialization and defense buildup program based on foreign stolen tech that makes no coherent sense unless you happen to follow discredited 19th century style imperialist models of economics and military risk theory.
That does make a sort of sense if the bunch of idiots in Beijing were running EFFICIENT Wilhelmine Germany just before WW I, but this is inefficient CHINA. And they are not facing the decadent British or the bumbling French Third Republic.
The guys on the other side this time are the JAPANESE. (With the Americans)

Liars ?
You mean Transparency International, and CIA factbook, which gave out similar numbers, are liars?
Beside, where you get information from. I'm sure its not firsthand experience, therefore, how do you know what you read on the net, or in print, are factually correct.
For what it's worth, if the data are vetted by IMF, World Bank, and CIA, they are good enough for me.

TPI relies on NGOs and national government generated statistics. Those LIE routinely (Even the Americans===> especially the Americans [Bureau of Labor Statistics for example]) for political reasons.
CIA public data is NOT to be trusted... ever. (or didn't the Iraq Wars teach anyone anything?) \
IMF?
You trust too much tteng. Do your own work. then make up your own mind. Never rely on others' 'numbers'.
