| I dont think any context will make a difference. You speak of regional war, or WMD employment. Yet, what does this result in? The errosion of any sort of civilization that the Palistinians might have (or the Isrealis might have, for that matter). When civilization and tolerance leave, dogma takes its' place. The Palistinians will simply see a war and a couple of mushroom clouds as proof of Allahs' will on this Earth. They will be even more emphatic in their call for the Israelis' destruction and the subsequent transfer of land deeds. Even at the point of a catastrophic loss of Israeli life, the Palistinians wont tamely hop on a cattle car and merrily ride the rails to some conveniant "camp". They will resist, as they are now. Even if it is nothing more than clinging to anti-Israeli dogma. I don't say these things because I am a college educated foreign policy expert, I'm a former solder jockey, forklift driver, and aircrew flunky. Nothing kills a plan faster than a lack of logistics. Who would move the Palistinians? What if they dont want to go? What if they shoot at you in the process? WHERE would they go? Who would pay for it all (if you answer 'the American taxpayer', I will die laughing!)? How would you protect them in the new "camp" they would end up in (that part of the world is not known for its' crime free existance)? Finally, having seen the result of many refugee centers and peace building actions up close and personal, who would prevent organized crime from coming in and forcing all the daughters in camp into a life of stripping on stage and prostitution in Asia? Just a rant, I know. But a rant from experience. |
