im british and forgive me for thinkin but we ahd the greatest empire in the world. And now we can't even fire our weapons out side of a temperate climate (even though its just gone through a multimillion pound up date that was a waste of time) not to mention the equipment we have to work with. It either doesn't work (namely the challenger in oman) or it spends over 10 extra years in developement(bowman radio we should have had that in bosnia)is it just the UK or does it happen to you americans as well?

jep, Traditionally, American equipment has been designed to operate in a wide variety of climates because of the possiblity of being deployed anywhere in the world. They are not always the best systems available for a particular region, but they tend to be more versatile than equipment designed for optimum performance in a particular environment.

We have problems with various programs. Some never work. Some take time to get right. Some are cancelled for good reasons and bad. On the whole, we have good kit.
