Subject: Non-traditional recruiting

It seems the best way to attract new recruits is to promise them a black beret upon graduation from bootcamp. This will also vastly improve the morale of existing soldiers and make them more capable at all of their specialties without additional training or supplies.

If you think a black beret helps morale, then why not give all trainees the silver star?

The Israelis allow recruits to call their officers by their first names upon graduation. That is a nice tradition. Unfortunatly transplanting traditions can make them appear artificial. There are succesful transplants like the hussars for instance, though. Few of us think of hussars as hungarian cowboys.
