Subject: Does anyone know what happened to the 1-10 Infantry?

I was stationed at Ft. Carson from 86-89 and was in the 1-10 Infantry. Now I can't find any reference to them for that post.

1-10th Inf FRG at Ft. Benning.1-10th Cav at FT Hood Don't have anything on 1-10th Inf.

I was with HHC 1-10th in 1983-1984 at fort Carson. I cannot find out what happened either

I'm sure the unit was eliminated at about the time that the 2nd Arm Div was reflagged as the 4th ID. One Brigade is still stationed at Ft. Carson and the other two are ex-2nd AD at Ft. Hood. So, unless they reflagged the battalions, some units had to go. I am assuming that you've checked the 4th ID home page and the 1st of the 10th doesn't appear there.

I believe the 1-10 Infantry is currently inactive. The 12th and 8th Infantry stayed with the 4th Infantry after the reflagging but the 1-10 was replaced with the 1-22 Infantry. 2-10 and 3-10 Infantry are currently assigned to Fort Leonard Wood as part of the 3rd Training Brigade.

According to the Army's website, 1-10 inf had it's headquaters transferred to TRADOC and was activated at Ft. Leonard Wood on 15 April 1996 link

Sorry for the late response. Just found this posting. I was also stationed at the 1/10 from 86-89. Staffing.. S-4. But was very familiar with all the companies. When I was leaving the 1/10 was being absorbed into becoming the 1/12 Inf. New logos and all that. So, keep your medallions if you still have them. rgoulet@consultant.com if you ever get this message. If not... well, best of luck to you in life brother. 1/10inf   First of the worst!!
