Seriously though, I can see some types of infantry getting things like this. As you know, some of the systems we don't and shouldn't discuss here are bulky, cumbersome and generally annoying. But they really do give us next generation capabilities. Including dramatic reductions of head trauma. Personally, I'd like to see a helmet that offered full cranial protection, integrated electronics to include squad/plt/Co/Bn COMM, Cellular BT compatibility, GPS/BFT, multispectral vision, integrated realtime two way translation, counter sniper system, 360 sound amplification, LRF, video camera, flashlight, HUD, ballistic protection and NBC protection. Moreover it should be no larger/heavier than a football helmet. Don't forget it all runs on sure fire lithium ion batteries and last for a week...lol.
