Since their would be far fewer, if any personal being killed on boarders with the use of robots as centuries. Could this not cause nations to be far more aggressive and thus cause more conflicts in the feature?

Wasn?t there a feature infantry weapons article in popular mechanics? that used the SWORDS acronym years ago?

I think the answer to your first question is no.  My reasoning is that the country involved will not have equally effective equipment.  The number of unplanned deaths on the border will decline if robots are introduced.  The decline will reduce the threat of escalation.  The decline may also happen for both the side with the bots and the side with out them.  The side with the (better) bots will feel much less pressure to "shoot first and ask questions latter" all other things being equal.

I could be wrong.  They say the introduction of boxing gloves increased the number and severity of boxers brain injures.  The gloved boxers punch harder (with out braking their hands) and the fights last longer because of less superficial bleeding.  They also say that people in seat belts drive less safely to compensate for the apparent reduction in risk.

I for see fewer accidental clashes.  If one side decides to test it's advantage thats another thing.

Ker

I appreciate and respect your opinion. I liked the analogies. I am committing here about something I know very little about. However I would say the Russians for one have just as much capabilities as the US in UAVs. Maybe they can?t operate them from their homeland yet. Why that would be I have no idea. If it?s because the US can jam them where as the Russians can?t jams the US singles. Call me SLOW but that would prove to me that the US has already won one of the most important aspects of any feature war. Anyways! What if the Russians started including UAVs in TU-95 payloads operating off the US coast and one of the UAVs happen to crash and caused a major industrial accident or kills a bus load of kids. And if there are written or unwritten laws that are fallowed to prevent such things then again I?m at that point of not understanding or there?s no reason for us to worry about it. Just figuring worst case scenarios.

Thanks for the info, carry on.
