Boeing unveiled its concept for the potentially V-tailed F-15 Silent Eagle in March 2009. The F-15SE would reduce its radar cross section in all aspects with the V-tail, internal weapons carriage and other treatments. The F-15SE also would improve its survivability with an all-new digital electronics warfare system. Finally, Boeing plans to incorporate a fly-by-wire flight control system. The F-15SE is offered to foreign buyers, with Korea's F-X competition the most near-term opportunity. Saudi Arabia, Israel and Japan are also potential sales targets.
