A lighter amphibious re-supply cargo vehicle, assigned to Beach Master Unit 1, stands by on Salinas Beach, Peru, for a beach landing exercise. BMU-1 is part of Amphibious Squadron 5 embarked aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans. New Orleans and AMPHIBRON-5 are participating in Southern Partnership Station, an annual deployment of U.S. military training teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
