PACIFIC OCEAN (June 30, 2010) The Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199) steams alongside the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) during a replenishment at sea. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, is participating in Undersea Warfare Exercise (USWEX), an annual bilateral exercise involving the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the U.S. Navy.
