U.S. Marines patrol in Marja in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Feb. 16, 2010. During the patrol the Marines found a large cache of materials to make improvised explosive devices, which were later destroyed during a controlled detonation. The Marines and Afghan soldiers have been conducting Operation Moshtarak to rid Marja of Taliban presence and intimidation.
