That could be photoshopped to say anything.

This could be a humorless fake.

bushbasher    Is there any wonder...   7/29/2007 5:08:32 PM
Is there any wonder why the world hates us?  Is this what we are doing over there?  A young man who is very dear to me is getting ready to finish boot camp and will most likely be deployed to Iraq at some point.  I'm not sure what bothers me more... The thought of him getting hurt/killed or the thought of him hurting/killing someone else's son/daughter/mother/father.  Has anybody imagined what it must be like for those people?  Imagine if it was your home, your city, your family that all this was happening to.  If we were invaded, we would fight our invaders with every last man, woman and child there was, no matter what the odds were.  Why do we expect not to fight us?  We are just creating a new generation of America Haters.  You know, it just really disturbs me to people who enjoy being cruel.

too easy    cold, but boys will be boys   10/6/2008 5:54:53 AM
It's plain to see you were not in the military, this doesn't go on just overseas, It's a rite of passage, some of us do it here in schools,  ie hazing or we used to b4 becoming  p.c. at least the  young man has joined the military and in my book that counts for something,, These are the ones you'll looking for to defend you when and if it comes to that. because it appears that p.c. will dictate what action we would take again ie "mother may I"

So what's the deal with the "arab guy" having a wedding band, or some kind of jewelry, on his left hand?
These funny cultural awareness classes the Army has been teaching us say you don't shake the arabs' left hand, 'coz that's the one they wipe their @ss with (and don't always wash their hand afterwards with soap and hot water).

Why would you wear jewelry on the hand you wipe your @ss with?
And the wearing of wedding bands at all (on the left hand), isn't that a predominantly christian/catholic/western belief?
Why would you adhere to western customs in that fashion if you're muslim?
(or at least, wouldn't that betray your religious convictions to surrounding muslims who might not take so kindly to your christian/catholic/western displays of beliefs?)

I'll give it that the "arab" guy's mustache isn't US military regulation (unless he's Navy, maybe?),
but his teeth seem rather healthy and his general appearance (principally his fairly clean, well-kept hands/nails) doesn't give the appearance of the livestock tender or hard-laboring illiterate Iraqi (Afghani?) stiff he's being portrayed to be.

Probably a US foreign ally working alongside us over there, agreed to assist in faking such a picture.
