Taurus is offering a new "self-protection and police under-cover" pistol known as The Millennium. This uses a polymer frame and extensive titanium parts to reduce weight to 16 ounces. The basic 9mm Parabellum version has a 10-round magazine (plus a round in the chamber); versions in .380acp, 40 S&W, and .45acp are in development.--Stephen V Cole
