Australia will have to pay $325 million to fix the software problems on its Collins-class submarines. This money will have to come out of a defense budget which everyone agrees already cannot afford to pay for the weapons it will need through 2020 to replace aging F-111s, F-18s, and other major military systems.--Stephen V Cole
