When Congress cut the F-22 program funding for next year from $3 billion to $2.5 billion, it sent the Air Force scrambling to find the other $500 million to keep the Raptor on schedule. While no decision has been made, the Joint Strike Fighter is becoming a target. Doing so could delay the JSF and increase its cost. Contenders include the Czech L-159, Russian Yak-130, British Hawk-200, Italian AMX, and the Russian MiG-AT.
