Palestinians Still Glorify Terrorists

Discussion Board on this DLS topic
Although Palestinian politicians are making loud noises about peace and negotiations with Israel, the Arab language Palestinian media is still praising terrorists. The February 25 terrorist bombing in Israel was vigorously condemned by Palestinian leaders. But in the Palestinian media, the suicide bomber was praised as a “martyr.” If Palestinians have any regrets about the attack at all, it’s the “unfortunate timing.” After all, Palestinian leaders are working to extract several billion dollars of aid from the United States and European countries. The February 25th bombing cast into doubt the sincerity of Palestinian peace efforts. Thus the ease with which the Palestinian media praised the killer, but deplored his timing. The Palestinians feel beaten by Israeli counter-terrorist efforts, but not defeated. The suicide bombers will be back, and the English and Arab language Palestinian pronouncements will be in sync once more.
