In southwest Somalia, militiamen led by warlord Mohamed Ibrahim Habsadeh have seized control of the town of  Baidoa.  Habsadeh is a member of the newly selected government, as is Hassan Mohamed Nur Shargudud, who leads the militia also fighting for control of Baidoa.
