A battle between RRA factions near Baioda (south-central Somalia) has left at least eight dead and 15 wounded. In the last month, this battle has caused at least 270 casualties. The conflict stems from RRA leader Hassan Mohamed Nur
"Shatigudud" declaring him self leader of the new state of South-West State of Somalia. Two of his subordinates (Sheikh Aden Madobe and Mohamed Ibrahim Habsade) agreed to support that, but only if  "Shatigudud" gave up control over most of his troops. Shatigudud, however, wants it all, and the fighting continues.
