Not all CIA office jobs are away from the action. For example, the agency is currently recruiting people to work as Specialized Skills Officer/Operational Targeting Specialist. This is described coming to work every day and employing, specialized skills used to identify, analyze and facilitate the infiltration and disruption of international organizations and networks posing a threat to U.S. interests. These officers develop substantive knowledge of a functional area (Terrorism, Proliferation, Narcotics, Counterintelligence to name a few), develop actionable information based on their research and support the Directorate of Operation's overseas efforts against these threats. Pay is $42,906-78,000, depending on prior experience and time in the job. You need to be a college grad, and be able to pass a battery of assessment tests, plus the usual lie detector test and an extensive background check. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Previous military experience is a plus.
