 The rebels are increasingly recruiting (sometimes forcibly) teenagers (12-17) for their combat units. The LTTE has promised not to recruit kids, but heavier losses from constant government military operations is forcing them to grab whoever they can. The kids are favored as they are easier to intimidate and train. Meanwhile, warplanes and ground troops continued to attack rebel bunkers in Jaffna.
